Palangan, Iran

This little Kurdish girl stands in the yard where she lives in Palangan, a village in the Kurdistan Province of Iran. Spread over both sides of a valley, all the stone houses are near-vertical & like a staircase, the roof of one house serves as the yard for the house above.
