The fantasy of silence

This poem by Indian poet, Musab Iqbal, could describe the personal; it could describe the political; or most likely it describes the intersection between the two. That's why it's so compelling.

The fantasy of silence is
most unknown of all mysteries.
While the web of distant dream
Is becoming fragile,
Confusion is the landscape
Where I weep, and see the empire
Of death breaking into
Pieces and scattering like
the stars in sky.
