Since 1967, over 250 Zionist settlements (with an estimated 520,000 settlers) have been built in the West Bank on Palestinian lands. In December, every member of the UN Security Council except the US condemned the settlements. In January, UN human rights investigators said settlements violate Palestinian self-determination, violate international laws, & said the violent practices of the settlers could be prosecuted as war crimes. The report called on Israel to remove the settlements & withdraw the settlers.
The condemnations haven’t altered how the US media reports the facts however. According to NBC News, the heart of the dispute is Israel’s policy of building settlements “on land the Palestinians feel is vital to a future state.” How delicately they tip-toe around the truth so as not to expose the lies. The land belongs to Palestinians; Zionist settlers from Peoria, Illinois & Kiev, Ukraine have absolutely no rights to expropriate it!
Every once in a while the US & lesser evil Obama voice protests against the settlements but if they actually opposed the policy they would stop bankrolling it. The tepid objections are just playing to the media peanut gallery & so that Israel will tone down some of its most rabid practices--like this Israeli soldier firing tear gas at unarmed Palestinians during the weekly protest against the Zionist settlement of Qadomem in the West Bank (near the town of Nablus).
Support Palestinian self-determination by boycotting all Israeli products (barcode 729). No US aid to Israel!
