Sweden Recognizes Assyrian, Greek and Armenian Genocide

Stockholm (AINA) -- In a resolution adopted today, the Swedish parliament (the Riksdagen) referered to the World War I-era killings of 2.75 million Armenians, Assyrians (also known as Chaldeans and Syriacs) and Pontic Greeks by the Ottomans as a genocide. Turkey is regarded legally and politically as the successor state of the Ottoman Empire but vehemently rejects calling the killing genocide according to the U.N. definition adopted in 1948, insisting that those killed were victims of war and uprising.

    <span>Swedishes had brought a  cruel war against Poland in middle ages 17 centuary . 
    Emily Platter was a woman and officer who withstood them and got killed . Swedishes are not so sweet peace loving people or may they appologize Poles for that!</span>

    How good of the Swedes, but it does not mean very much. Nothing will be done. In fact, the persecution of Assyrians continues, and not just in Turkey. A  very creepy part of a trip to beautiful Turkey is to travel to towns and villages that were once almost totally Pontic Greek, Assyrian, or Armenian. Even the most graphic accounts of what occured could not come close to what a horror it must have been.
