Billboard campaign in South Africa supports Palestinians

BDS South Africa & the Palestine Solidarity Alliance have taken out 12 billboards across South Africa graphically depicting the Israeli occupation & dispossession of Palestinian lands. A local businessman financed the billboards after the success of a similar  billboard campaign in New York City.

Last July, Henry Clifford, an 84-year-old retired Wall Street financier, bankrolled billboards in ten north NYC metro stations, including Westchester, Scarsdale, Mount Kisco, Tarrytown, White Plains, & Chappaqua, NY, where the  Clintons live. Clifford is an eccentric, profoundly elitist fellow who belongs to a 10-member group called the Committee for Peace in Israel & Palestine. For reasons not elaborated, he supports truth about the expropriation of Palestinian lands by Israel. According to Clifford, he targeted the swankiest part of the NYC metro area because they were “high IQ readers,” “people who have the intellectual curiosity to have an open mind,” movers & shakers, the affluent & the educated. Putting aside his questionable judgement about his targeted audience & his implicit damnation of the rest of us, he claims he received an overwhelmingly positive response to the ads.

There are no reports on the response to the Zionist ads displayed on buses in San Francisco & in metro stations in NYC describing Palestinians as “savages.” But racist epithets are no match for the geography of Zionist dispossession.  (Photo from israelfacts)
