Greek farmers & city workers outsmart the oligarchs
This is a remarkable story of human solidarity & ingenuity. Farmers in Thessaloniki, Greece & several other Greek cities, who are being squeezed for prices by supermarket agents, are providing sacks of potatoes & other produce at cost to impoverished city workers. Here they're lining up to buy the spuds. Oligarchs don’t do anything so they aren’t the smartest potatoes in the sack & sometimes they can be outsmarted. That's why they hire minions. That's also why they shouldn’t be allowed to continue plundering the planet. (Photo by Sakis Mitrolidis)
