Lars Lerin redux
I'm not sure of the place depicted but that is not very important. What is, this fellow is a freak!! Personally I'd never put myself in a hell where I have to pay attention to so many details, (though I could but only in a face or a figure!) and that's only a small part of the reasons why I admire his work so much.. what this artist is able to convey is staggering..
Here's what I found about him..

And this:
ReplyDeleteLars Lerin was born in 1954 in Munkfors in the County of Värmland in western Sweden. He studied at the Gerlesborg School of Fine Art 1974-75, then at the Valand School of Fine Arts in Gothenburg 1980-84. He has exhibited solo as well as in group expositions, in galleries and museums in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, France, the Faroe Islands, on Iceland, in Norway, Germany and in the US. His works are found in several Swedish counties and in museums in Sweden and Norway.
In 2005, Lars Lerin created a permanent exhibition at Munkfors in western Sweden. The former industrial premises (1 400 square meters) have kept their industrial character, with scarred concrete floors and piping in the ceiling. The exhibition is divided into sections, featuring various themes from the artist's œuvre of images and books.

why is he a freak?
ReplyDeleteA freak in a positive sense.. He's not afraid to take on a subject as busy and overloaded with minute details as this one...I wouldn't..It's nerve wrecking..
ReplyDeleteHe is a very talented painter.
ReplyDeleteA goods catch indeed...There are so many outrageously talented artists out there just waiting to be discovered, I presume..Fabulous internet!!!
ReplyDeleteAny idea where this place above could be? Just curious.
