"It has been widely reported that Iraqis are celebrating the withdrawal of US forces from their country. But what the media has failed to emphasize is that 130,000 residual forces will still be operating inside of Iraq, and that President Obama intends to keep as many as 50,000 troops stationed in Iraq until 2011, though that date might change, and that there is no withdrawal timeline for thousands of private contractors.

Many countries around the world hire private contractors. the GoI and ISF are likely to hire private contractors for decades to come. What is wrong with hiring private contractors? Why do most of the world's signficant armies hire them?

Iraq has a broad collection of different weapons system (Chinese, Russian, US, French, British, Korean, Brazilian, even Israeli.) It needs to hire contractors to repair and upgrade their existing equipment. They need to hire contractors to train their security forces in how to utilize weapons and specific techniques.
Most countries are not lucky enough to have the US military to train their security forces for free. As a result, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, China, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Jordan, Egypt, KSA, and many other countries around the world shell out big bucks to hire security contractors to fulfill necessary functions.
I have news for you dumbshit Anand, countries do not have nor do occupiers send mercenaries to help secure countries except for their own purposes of exploitation. They send them to oppress any valid uprising, and to quash any true voice of the people. To prop up puppet governments or to promote tyranny - get it dumbass?

V, I am talking about contractors hired by the Iraqi government. One specific contractor program alone, run and paid for by the Iraqi army, has 100,000 security contractors. This program is called the "Sons of Iraq." There are many more security contractors hired by the government of Iraq.
