Jane Harman Recorded On Wiretap Promising to Intervene for AIPAC, Say Sources

Rep. Jane Harman , the California Democrat with a longtime involvement in intelligence issues, was overheard on an NSA wiretap telling a suspected Israeli agent that she would lobby the Justice Department reduce espionage-related charges against two officials of the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee, the most powerful pro-Israel organization in Washington. Harman was recorded saying she would "waddle into" the AIPAC case "if you think it'll make a difference," according to two former senior national security officials familiar with the NSA transcript.

  1. "In exchange for Harman’s help, the sources said, the suspected Israeli agent pledged to help lobby Nancy Pelosi , D-Calif., then-House minority leader, to appoint Harman chair of the Intelligence Committee after the 2006 elections, which the Democrats were heavily favored to win."

    Ahem!

  3. Now the banks are telling us about "profits' with no open books, and trillions of dollars spent. they could have just as easily moved the "bailout" column to the profit column and no one would know the difference. Essentially, this is what I say they have done -

"PROFITS" FOR EVERYONEAll of this while the real economy sinks into the abyss...

Yasmina or someone else that is familiar with U.S. law can you please tell us will any thing happen when you have some American person in government that is trying to help the people that do espionage against your country? Or is the answer that in support of Israel aparthied anything is permissible to the American brain?

  8. Even if no one gets convicted of anything this still shows how much control the lobby has. Why is the lobby trying to pressure a democrat about appointing another democrat if that other democrat offers its unbridled support for Israeli spies.

Yes, lets all examine the relationship between the lobby and the government.

    Happy times!

  11. Anon, I was thinking that I smelled some thing was dirty here to. It had to be Corey's dirty face.

"You retards don't believe in truth and justice. For you, innocent = guilty."

Now instead of talking about this woman that is supposed to serve her country and she has decided that she will be the slave to Aipac instead he wants to talk about the "motivations" of the bloggers on this site to discuss this issue.

Can you imagine that these filthy, filthy Zionist people have an excuse for every thing?

Of course to this pimple faced fool Corey we should talk about what motivated me to put this post and not about the post itself.

Israeli hasbara was a little better before, look how desperate they are looking now.

  15. No question this behavior is illegal. But since our government thinks torture is OK and its perpetrators don't need to face justice, this too will be shrugged off.

Note that the exception to any rule about American politics is what's known as Clinton Rules. If Bill or Hillary had done this, or even someone just remotely connected to them, there would be hearings and trials and investigations from now until doomsday. Republicans would stand against backdrops of unfurled flags and beat their chests and sob about patriotism, while Democrats would stand by and sorrowfully shake their heads.

But since we are looking at a double whammy of No Clinton Involvement plus Israel Might Be Embarrassed, it's safe to say that nobody will be punished for this outrageous act.

    First witness - Moshe Dayan

    Please render your testimony...

"Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you because geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the place of Mahlul; Kibbutz Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in the place of Huneifis; and Kefar Yehushua in the place of Tal al-Shuman. There is not a single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population." Moshe Dayan, address to the Technion, Haifa, reported in Haaretz, April 4, 1969.

    Case Closed.

    Guilty as charged
