Area A as Island Paradise

I'm a fan of such resistance art. While the politics of Palestine is often too-strife with cynicism and factionalization, imaginative re-workings like this give me hope, even if the artists are Europeans. I hope that Palestinians increasingly feel the way I do. And I know activist artists and filmmakers are springing up left and right, and getting better each day. It's only a matter of time before we culturally overwhelm the occupation -- especially as young progressive Jews join this just cause. Sadly, the politicians have seem to become the mirror image of Zionism, leaving art and the people's resistance our best hope.

We posted the full article with the map but this article here is not specific and talks about other artists like the great Banksy. I should start posting Banksy he's into activist art.

  3. Yes, I enjoy Banksy to.  Some people complained about his art on the wall, they dont want to make it pretty because it is something killing there land and life.  But, art is an important tool and we can use it.

In regard to the wall I understand the Palestinians when they object to the beautification of this barbaric mean to encage them but on the other hand works of art such as banksy's attract world's attention to the reality of the wall in the same way works of art has done to the wall of Berlin. Eventually it will become a symbol of tyranny and occupation and will have more people questioning it and asking for its dismantlement.

  8. The history of the use of the wall of oppression must be artistically played out on its expanse. The names of those murdered must be etched or drawn so that it can be ascertained as a symbol of terror and isolationism, exclusivity and Apartheid.  This way its false expression of so-called "security" can be exposed.
