2. This is a good example TGIA! It sums-up graphically all the corporate media's bullshit. Let me guess: is Martinez of Cuban descent by any chance?

  4. V,
I have been reading alot about this bear, or sucker rally lately. It seems that in 1932 the market rallied in pretty much the same fashion, while the real economy continued to decline. So in early 1933 the market crashed again, once the fundamentals prevailed over what was just an ebullient crowd of investors trying to get back swiftly to the good old times of easy profits. During 1930, 1931, and 1932, the US major newspapers were plastered with optimistic headlines and articles about a putative recovery, fueling a false optimism that had no basis on real economic fundamentals. In 1934 the US economy was mired in abrutal depression, even worse than the one that followed the market crash of 1929. From 1934 to 1939, the US economy barely dragged itself through the depression, unable to bootstarp itself again from its ashes. So Keynesianism only maintained the US economy on life support, but could not bring it back to full life again. What saved the US economy was WWII, which is quite troublesome, is one makes a parallel with what is taking place today: it may explain the expansion of imperialist wars of aggression under the Obama regime, despite all its lip-service embrace of "peace", with a potential conflict with North Korean and Irain waiting in the wings.

  6.
The credentials of George Mitchell as peacemaker, Obama’s Middle East envoy, rest on his role in bringing about the 1998 Good Friday agreement in the British-occupied north of Ireland. Central to that agreement was the British decision to abandon its policy of not talking to the Irish nationalist party, Sinn Fein. In comparison, on his latest visit to the Middle East Mitchell backed the Israeli position of not dealing with Hamas and made a point of excluding them!

  8.
“My colleagues and I have introduced Hamas to senior members of Sinn Fein and they are very interested in the precedent, the example of what happened in Northern Ireland. They are not intent on the destruction of Israel. That's a rhetorical statement of resistance and not part of their programme.” – Sir Jeremy Greenstock, former UK ambassador to the UN

  9. Israel needs to act as if it were an inevitable reality (its destruction), other wise it has no basis or reason for the cruel destruction it reeks, except strength and its ability to do so. Essentially Israel fools no one, it just makes itself more hideous by the day.
