War Without Context: Fatah, Hamas And Flawed Language

From a distance, the struggle between Hamas and Fatah appears commonplace, a typical third world country’s political scuffle over interpretation of democracy that went out of control, or simply a ‘power struggle’ between two political rivals vying for international aid and recognition. In fact, the conflict may appear as if it popped out of nowhere and will continue as long as the seemingly power-hungry Palestinians carry on with their self-defeating fight.

Therefore, it’s typical to read such deceptive news reports as that of Ibrahim Barzak of the Associated Press: “Hundreds of Palestinian patients have been trapped in the Gaza Strip, unable to travel abroad for crucial treatment for cancer and other diseases, because of political infighting between Gaza's militant Hamas rulers and their Palestinian rivals.”

Such sinister terminology as “Gaza’s Hamas rulers” – which happened to refer to a democratically elected government – is now in common use, in most Western news agencies, and those who readily recycle their reports.

  5. "When a story is dominated by selective terminology, numbers, names and dates without proper and balanced context, a media consumer is sold nothing but misinformation."

However, this has not stopped these ill informed ignorants from continually posting as fact these lies. The industry of bullshit, partisan, and lazy "journalism" has grown to such a degree, that one may amass what is considered a majority of flawed material. Than, the dumb asses point to it as if it were authoritative,  and say "how can you disagree with this?"  Relying upon the basis of the same material being available to others (and digested by them) they crow, pointing their bony fingers at their contrived but partisan "experts."  A very frustrating process of disagreement ensues, but i would not have it any other way - even if the world is set against the truth!

(they do this not only from information from this region, but all over the world.  Wherever the intrest of the enrichment of the few and powerful reigns)

New Evidence Points to Hezbollah in Hariri Murder
    --------
    Baloney
Evidence? Who needs it? The White House just makes this stuff up as they go along – just like they did in the run-up to war with Iraq.
They were adamant it was Syria, very strong evidence.4 Lebanese high ranking army officers were just released after 4 years in jail ,they were supposedly conspirators . Now it's not Syria, after the damage being done. Instead why not Hizboullah ,it's good timing and very strong evidence.
don't journalists ever get tired of their own clichés, recycled hundreds of times over? – is mostly for Western consumption. It's all a way of softening us up for another round of "liberation," with a new set of lies directed at a fresh target.
Most Lebanese know who's the culprit, and to them Hariri is not dead enough .

  9. Well, that's why I placed a question mark there. I would not even begin to venture a guess as to what or whom is responsible for Hairiri's death.

    Who is the culprit?
    <div>-----------------</div>
<div>Israel's ambition has long been to weaken Syria, sever its strategic alliance with Iran and destroy Hizbullah. Israel has great experience at "targeted assassinations" - not only in the Palestinian territories but across the Middle East. Over the years, it has sent hit teams to kill opponents in Beirut, Tunis, Malta, Amman and Damascus.</div>
