WALL STREET BANKS GO TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE FOR H1N1 SHOTS

"With millions who need the the H1N1 vaccine unable to get it, major financial firms in New York, among them Citigroup and Goldman Sachs, have received larger distributions of the inoculation than many hospitals.

As of late October, Citigroup had been given 1,200 doses, more than half of its request, and Goldman Sachs had received 200 doses of the 5,400 it requested, about 4 percent.

By contrast, a major New York City hospital, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, has been given only 200 of 27,400 doses, less than 1 percent of what it asked for its doctors, nurses, and staff, who will be responsible for caring for the sick in the event of a major outbreak.

  3. TGIA, I think this is a glitch. However, I wonder who approved so many dosed for Citigroup. {Most banks such as Goldman Sachs don't seem to have gotten excessive doses.}

    As you may know TGIA, most of Citigroup is owned by the US government. The US government is trying to sell Citigroup off at a profit.

  4. Is the government trying to sell off the other Wall Street enterprises that got more than the amounts hospitals received?  What other corporations have received the vaccine? There is no way to answer the charge anan, and as usual you become an imbecile who cannot even make the simplist of calculations when it comes to your darling fucked up and elite engorghed capitalist system.

  5. V, please research this and get back to me. What department is responsible for distributing the vaccine, and deciding what institutions get how many doses?

    I don't know all the facts. Many government bureaucrats are deeply incompetent.

  7. Anan is giving out homework!!!!!

    So what is up with this?  Why is the vaccine even available to a private concern like Goldman Sachs or Citigroup, not to mention that there are overall shortages for those who need them most!?  That is just stark corruption.  We need some socialism around here.
