U.S. State Department's new report: Israel is not a tolerant society
"Israel dismally fails the requirements of a tolerant pluralistic society, according to a new report from the U.S. State Department.
Despite boasting religious freedom and protection of all holy sites, Israel falls short in tolerance toward minorities, equal treatment of ethnic groups, openness toward various streams within society, and respect for holy and other sites.
The comprehensive report, written by the State Department's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, says Israel discriminates against groups including Muslims, Jehova's Witnesses, Reform Jews, Christians, women and Bedouin."

I am pleasantly surprised. The State Department is a great disappointment generally speaking. They are so much more incompetent than the uniformed military.

This ugly canard was their most potent justifier in the eyes of the international community. In the name of this clownesque variation of "democracy" all crimes were allowed! A wake up call for the scunbags..</span>

ReplyDeleteYeah, like segregated buses in Jerusalem and Yeshiva students spitting on Christians as they pass by in the street.
Definitely not nice but minor compared to the institutionalised discrimination embeded in the heart of the Israeli society.
