GAZA (PIC) 30 July — The Palestinian NGO network said it is deeply
concerned about the Palestinian authority’s decision to return to the
negotiation table with the Israeli occupation. In a press release on
Monday, the network, which include 133 member organizations, stated that
the gravity of such a decision that it was taken without any commitment
to the minimum requirements, most importantly, the establishment of a
Palestinian state within the 1967 borders and the termination of
settlement activities. The network criticized the PA for its decision to
backtrack on its intention to join international organizations
including the international criminal court in exchange for its talks
with the Israeli regime. It also expressed its fears that the PA-Israeli
negotiations would undermine the boycott campaign against Israel, which
started to bear fruit following the decision of the European union to
ban dealing with settlements and Israeli companies operating within 1967
borders.
