When the world gets too much with you, who else do you turn to but children!? Their laughter, their love, their exuberance! Society waxes poetic about children being the future but then starves millions of them to death. Enough with the poetics & the baloney! It isn’t that kids are the “future;” They are our delight, our sense of possibilities, our hope that they might get it right & change the world. Every crime against a child is a crime against humanity. Every child is a magnificence to be honored like the birth of a messiah--because they all are.
