Tear down the walls for a world without visas

Human beings have always migrated for survival; that’s the history of our species. But it may well be that the number of people today on the move, displaced by war, political conflict, economic predation is unprecedented in human history. There are millions of people moving under perilous conditions from the southern Americas to north America, from eastern Europe to western Europe, from Africa to Europe, from Asia all over the world. Many do not survive the dangerous trips, many are subject to crimes along the way. Many are children, including thousands of unaccompanied minors. This young boy is headed to the US from Central America. His vulnerability will be preyed on or he will survive by the kindness of strangers along the way. Immigration policies debarring entrance to desperate people are criminal policies. Corporations maintain their right to travel the globe in search of cheap workers but then erect walls to impede displaced workers from traveling in search of work. Those damn walls exist all over the planet. It’s time to tear them down & turn them into tourist attractions like the Great Wall of China. It’s time to build a world without walls or visas.
