Afghan refugees from US war live in squalor in Pakistan slums
Refugee children from the US war in Afghan in a slum on the outskirts of Islamabad, Pakistan. The UN refugee agency has an agreement with the Pakistani government to allow nearly 2 million Afghan refugees to live in Pakistan through this year. Thousands of them live in squalor without electricity, running water, & other basic human needs. Protests in Afghanistan make clear US troops are not welcome or seen as a force for freedom. The antiwar movement needs everyone to start walking like an Egyptian & demanding the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of all US-NATO troops. (Photo by Muhammed Muheisen/AP)
