The blood of innocent civilians

"The blood of innocent civilians
Make no mistake about it: we should all blame the US, EU, and the UN for the crashes of Iranian civilian airliners and the deaths of Iranian civilians in those crashes. The sanctions against Iran, as you know, prevent the sale of spare parts even for civilian airliners."

  1. Story 1001 in the neverending saga of "Nobody is responsible for anything.....EXCEPT the U.S."
Make no mistake about it, the Iranian government is responsible for the deaths of those people. When a plane is unsafe or too old, you ground the plane. Priorities, folks. Priorities. All that oil wealth and the region cannot produce its own planes.  Build a nucleur reactor but can't run a safe air travel system. Fund Hezbollah and murderous thugs in Iraq but can't repair a plane.
The professor is now repeating the propaganda of the Iranian regime. Shameful!

  2. "The average age of Iran's fleet of aircraft is 22 years, said Masoud Mohajer, an aviation expert in Tehran. Age itself may not be a problem — even older jets are in service around the world — but keeping them maintained is. Mohajer said Iranian airlines can't afford to keep even Russian planes in shape because of lack of government support.
He pointed to "the financial inability to buy new planes or carry out maintenance requirements."
"Iranian airliners don't have enough cash even to buy new Russian planes. The government controls ticket prices. It's not profitable for airliners," Mohajer said."

  4. Iran may have an ace in the hole as Western governments weigh sanctions in response to the often violent crackdown on opposition demonstrators. The card Tehran is likely to play? China.

  6. Mara, China doesn't like the principle of people power populist movements. On the other hand, China doesn't want Iran to go nuclear either.

  7. This post is one of the stupidest I have ever seen. Instead of blaming incompetent Iranian mechanics and airlines, he blames "foreigners." Is this a spoof?

  8. Yeah Anand, it is a spoof on you, because it takes a brain and some knowledge to follow the line of reasoning

We're having problems with the comments. It's like, "now you see it, now you don't". Can't do anything about it.
