Cynthia McKinney talks about her experience

Cynthia McKinney is a former US Representative who served from 1993-2003 and from 2005-2008 . She was the 2008 Green Party presidential nominee and has been an active member of the Free Gaza Movement. In 2004, The Backbone Campaign awarded her the fifth annual Backbone Award "because she was willing to challenge the Bush administration and called for an investigation into 9/11 when few others dared to air their criticism and questions." Here, Ishmahil Blagrove, Jr. talks to McKinney about her experience with the situation in Gaza and her views on today’s political landscape.

  1. I live in McKinney's home state.  She is considerd an absolute joke, a total embarrassment.  She lost her seat when even her own gerrymanderd consituency couldt tolerate her near insanity.  If this is the best the Palestinian cause can do in the USA for supporters, the road for them will be very, very, very long.

  2. I have the entire scoop that ent on with McKinnry, now lets have a round about how you cannot even follow what happens to your own representatives. Should this surprise me? No, it is par for the course for you, especially since what happened to McKinney was charged with racial inuendo, not only local but on a national scale in Washington.

  5. I voted for GWB twice Jemmy but was never a huge fan.  Who cares.  The point is McKinney is beyond ridiculous.  She got into a fight with a Capital Guard when he asked to see her ID.  She accused Bush of being behind 9/11.  She is considered an absolute jackass and moron by people of reasonable bearing.

You dont live in her home state like I do so I really dont think you have any basis for arguiing with me about her, other than wanting to because of her trip to Palestine.  Cynthia McKinnehy is a total nutjob.  Case closed.

  6. McKinney was set up for a fall because she did not bow to Imperial design, and she was targeted by a campaign in both her home state and Washington DC. McKinney never said GWB was behind 9/11, she said he and his cronies made untold amounts of money by hijacking the 9/11 catastophie. The comment about "moron" and being unreasonable is just the fact that she did not bow to your ridiculous administration you voted for TWICE!  Like I said flemming, if you want to go through what happened in your state, I will be glad to show how your view is nothing but a ride on the racist train to unseat a political enemy - a train taken not only by neocons but liberals, because when you boil it all down you smell equally repugnant.

  8. Actually, Cynthia McKinney should be sitting in the white house right now, rather than the empty suit you tolerate

  9. This doesn't sound a bit wacky to you, V?

    <span style="font-family: -webkit-sans-serif; line-height: 19px;">
<p style="">On Sept. 28, 2008, at a press conference, McKinney announced that she had spoken with a constituent whose son was a National Guardsman. The constituent claimed her son had disposed of 5,000 bodies for the Department of Defense during the week of Hurricane Katrina. She further claimed that the bodies were prisoners who had all been shot in the head and dumped in a Louisiana swamp. McKinney said that the story had been corroborated by anonymous "insider" sources.<span>[</span>58<span>]</span><span>[</span>59<span>]</span>

  11. "This article has been nominated to be checked for its neutrality. Discussion of this nomination can be found on the talk page."

You always seem to like to pick these Molly, the ones that are strongly questioned and in debate. You also did this in regard to Atzmon. Rather than seeing a pattern emerge with McKinney I see a pattern emerging with you, it is not very flattering.

  12. Some of the links are -

"The Green Party's current candidate for President is an overt anti-Semite named Cynthia McKinney who has surrounded herself with storm-trooper like neo-Nazis who frequently shout anti-Jewish slogans at her rallies. McKinney implied that the Jews were responsible for 9/11..." That's a bit unbalanced isn't it? Dershowitz doesn't back up his claims with proof or anything like it, and he slings around the label "anti-Semitic" pretty indiscriminately (ironically enough). Are we getting any pictures?

  14. Or is it that you are so damn desperate to discredit something I say, anything, that you rush to these questionable sites (one in this case that is a known source for terrible racism) and summarily trip over your own tongue in the process Molly? Get a grip

  15. Than, when the sources you use are checked, they either do not exist or are given as evidence without reference (Washington Post), simply amazing

Just a few points, now I can understand why you would wish to discredit her if you agree with none of this.

  17. Anyone with a voting record like that is a prime target for the vested interests and the Christian Taliban. Character assassination is the preferred method;physical assassination creates martyrs. The brainwashed conformists can then ignore the calls for reform from a "nutjob".

  18. Dont you wish it was the simple little Jemmy.  No need to assault McKinney's character - she does a fine job all by herself.  Really, she is as marginalized and fruitcake of a "politician" that one can find in the US.  She entertains in the same way as a deadly car crash- hard not to watch as you go by, but really all you want to do is leave quickly.

As i said, if this is your great hope for the Palestinian cause in america, then you have none (hope).  truly, Im doing you a favor in telling you this.

    ReplyDelete
  19. V, I wasn't trying to discredit anybody. But she isn't the best representative for the Palestinian cause.  The claim about the US govt. killing 5,000 prisoners was reported by the Washington Post:http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/26/AR2008102602240_3.html

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yes Molly, I already said that above (see 8:21;25) - and it is bereft of any reference, except the character assassination process that Jemmy notes. Perhaps you are just unfamiliar with Washington Post ex operato Molly, lets chalk it up to that...

  21. Remember when the Paris police murdered hundreds of Algerian immigrants in one night and dumped their bodies in the Seine? Even though those bodies were being fished out for weeks afterwards, and of course families were missing members, nothing appeared in the media. It was decades later that the facts became known. Presumably anyone who tried to break that story at the time would have been written off as a "fruitcake" or a "nutjob".

    ReplyDelete
  22. Sure Jemmy.  By that "logic", anyone who is termed a nutjob or fruitcake is thusly a noble truth seeker and purveyor of justice.  Riggghtttt.

Look Jemmy, do and believe what you want. I dont care if you hitch your star to the McKinney bandwagon.  Im just telling you, it wont be crowded, and you will be surrounded by loonies.  :)

And no, I dont remeber the event you reference.  I do know many "fruitcakes" and "nutjobs" have claimed to have been abducted by aliens, seen elvis, claimed GWB was behind 9/11, that AIDs was a CIA conspiracy, and so on.  McKinney may or may not be truly crazy like some of those folks.  But she is just as irrelevant.

  23. That was a nice non-argument

  24. That won't wash, flem - saying that the mainstream media print lies about political dissidents is not the same as saying that everyone classified as insane by those same media is a misunderstood hero or genius. Before Michael Jackson died and became a candidate for sainthood the media regularly labelled him a nutjob. I agree with that call.
On the Paris massacre, I was wrong to say there was no reporting, but there was very little and the whole thing was treated as a few unfortunate deaths during a riot. Here what a Parisian cop wrote -
"What happened on 17 October 1961 and in the following days against the peaceful demonstrators, on which no weapons were found, morally forces us to bring our testimony and to alert public opinion...  Among the thousands of Algerians brought to the Parc des Expositions of the Porte de Versailles, tens have been killed by blows from rifle butts and pickaxe handles... In one of the extremities of the Neuilly bridge, groups of policemen on one side, CRS on the other, moved slowly towards each other. All the Algerians captured in this huge trap were knocked out and systematically thrown in the Seine. A good hundred people were subjected to this treatment... [In the Parisian police headquarters], torturers threw their victims by tens in the Seine which flows at only a few meters from the courtyard, to keep them from being examined by the forensic scientists. Not before having taken their watches and money. Mr. Papon, prefect of the police, and Mr. Legay, general director of the municipal police, assisted to these horrible scenes... These indisputable facts are only a small part of what has happened in these last days and what continues to happen ... The little information given by the newspapers is nothing compared to the truth."

  25. "...saying that the mainstream media print lies about political dissidents..."

Talk about soooo not washing Jemmy.  Anytime, anyone, talks about US media as if its a monolithic entity that acts as one via daily confers with the govt and/or each other so that it only publishes what is "OK" or "permitted" or "zionist friendly" is just such pathetically naieve its cartoonish.

You see Jemmy, the main job of US media is to MAKE money.  This means they have to sell ads, and this means they have to be interesting for readers.  That is all that really matters at the end of the day.  I know that you and other preening academics believe they should instead be only about truth justice blah blah --- but that just aint the way our world works.  There is no collusion or conspiracy.

  26. Ah, I see fleming...for sure they make money through advertising, that is undeniable. However, they advertise twice, once with official commercials and a second time with lies and propaganda, not only in regard to news but how life is "supposed to be lived" in general in their popular programming.  The non-observant forgets the former, the fool absorbs the latter.
