French foreign Minister: 'Israelis no longer aspire to peace'

Israelis appear to have lost their desire for peace, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner declared on Tuesday, a day ahead of a visit by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
"Before, there was a great peace movement" among Israelis, Kouchner told France-Inter radio. "It seems to me that this aspiration has disappeared."

  2. Wow. Kouchner is one of the most idealistic people in France (a french Neocon.) The Neocons are turning on Israel.

Maybe Israelis don't want a one state solution? I think a one state solution strengthens Israel. Imagine all those hard working creative Palestinians being Israeli citizens. Imagine all of them loyal to the Israeli state. Imagine all the new Venture Capital backed start ups. Imagine all the inventions. Imagine all the amazing new students in Israeli universities. Who knows what can be achieved by Israelis and Palestinians together:
    -3rd generation algae derived biofuels
-a new discovery in carbon sequestration
-a new system on chip application processor with hundreds of scaled GPU and CPU cores
-the latest new killer mobile phone application
    -the future of mobile payment
-a new way to manufacture cement using less carbon
-a new breakthrough in reducing the power usage of DSPs, mixed signal, and analogue chipsets
    -a breakthrough in battery technology
-the latest bomb detector that Israel/Palestine can export around the world
    -discoveries we can't even imagine.

Imagine how much reunification would benefit both palestine and Israel!  :-D

  7. What's funny? What is a neocon TGIA? What is Kouchner? I have been a big fan of his for a long time.

If the Palestinians and Israelis come together, imagine what they can achieve together. They could have the best quality military in the whole world, the best artists, the best musicians, entertainers, academics, maybe even soccer team. The possibilities are endless.

Reunification strengthens both Palestine and Israel.

  10. First time I've seen the word 'neocon' used without pejorative intent.
Clever old Bernie, realising what most rational people have known for decades.
