  1. <span>Iran has offered support to Lebanon’s army, a week after a deadly cross-border clash between Lebanon and Israel which prompted U.S. lawmakers to block funding to the Lebanese military.</span>

But this is what caught my attention:

<span>The Lebanese army is seen as woefully underequipped compared to Hezbollah, which is believed to have been rearming since the 2006 war with Israel. The military lost 170 troops when battling an al Qaeda-inspired Islamist group holed up in a Palestinian refugee camp in 2007.</span>

How on earth can you have a stable country when a particular sect has its own army? This seems very dangerous.

  2. For years on end Israel was totally unchallenged, entering and exiting at will Lebanese territory..The Lebanese army, disbanded, fragmented by the civil strife was totally helpless to defend. Someone had to do it. Hizbullah filled the vacuum, successfully..They liberated the South..They want to make sure Lebanon wouldn't be back to the old days when Israeli thugs were treating Lebanon as hunting reserves ..

  3. Yes, Thanks, but isn't this just another civil war waiting to happen? What happens when or if Lebanon's government asks them to disarm?

This is as hypocrite as it gets.
The US now has to find another sucker country for their antiquated junk.

Lebanon is still under threat. The Lebanese army would need Hizbullah in case of an Israeli agression. I don't see the gov't asking them to disarm just yet..

  6. <span>"The days of ignoring the Lebanese Armed forces' provocations against Israel and protection of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon are over," said Cantor, the number two Republican in the House of Representatives.</span>

  7. <span>He added that "we place conditions on how our military aid is delivered, and there are similar conditions in terms of how Israel is able to use the assistance we provide them."
"Nothing that we do is condition-free," he said, adding that "obviously we think that the nature of our training programs, the nature of the equipment that we do provide to Lebanon is in our interest, and in Lebanon's interest. And this is a relationship that we hope to strengthen."  </span>

Oh that's a good one, P.J. We may set conditions on Israel's use but do we enforce those conditions?</span>

  8. It took one incident for the aid to Lebanon to be cut. Israel has been violating Lebanese sovereignty for more than 50 years..everyday of the week..
    Not a murmur..

Cantor is a Jewish zionist..(there are Chtistian zionistst too!)..or what is called an Israel firster..He's accustomed to those views..Those are the people who give Israel free hand to do whatever it wishes..And with the news that 20,000 Jerusalemites declared illegal residents are slated for expulsion, one can see what this evil's priorities are..Here:
Israel intends to deport 20,000 Palestinians from Jerusalem: JCSER head
Israel intends to deport over 20,000 Palestinians out of Jerusalem whom it said don't have legal residency to stay in the city, a leading Palestinian human rights defender said on Sunday.  "Israeli Interior Ministry has already begun deporting Palestinians under the pretext that they stay in Jerusalem illegally," Ziad Hammouri, head of the Jerusalem center for social and economic rights (JCSER), told Xinhua.<span>

  12. Was anything I wrote inaccurate?

UNFIL has 18 thousand UN occupation troops in Southern Lebonon. At least 288 of them have been killed by Lebanese resistance to date. Is this incorrect?

Israel demanded a UN force to occupy the border of the Israel and Lebonon as a condition of their withdrawal. They felt they needed this to protect themselves from attacks originating from inside Lebanon.

In 2000, the UN finally agreed to provide this force and Israel left Lebonon.

Israelis like to kick around the Palestinians. If you aren't Palestinians, Israelis try to be your friend.

Of course kicking around Palestinians is completely inappropriate, immoral and irrational. Israelis benefit more than anyone from Palestinian strenght and success. The paranoia and anger Israelis have towards Palestinians makes no sense.

Please name one thing that I have written that is crackpot or inaccurate?

    --------
    $600 M a year (Lie)
    $720M since 2006 ( Real)
I know you love numbers , but you're hopeless in arithmetic.
    720 ÷ 4=180 not 600
Apart from this one , everything else.

Where to start with you is a challenge and I don't have time to respond to every crackpottery( yes I'm convinced you're irrational and not very intelligent) point you make..
Israelis aren't "kicking Palestinians around"...Even Mojo mocked you for saying this because the matter is more serious than that but YOU DO NOT LISTEN!
They're killing them dispossessing them demolishing their homes (entire villages are flattened) and they're building on their lands and expelling them..It's ethnic cleansing, it's a genocide...You don't need gaz chambers for this to happen it can take more subtle forms and Isrtaelis are good at concealing the magnitude of it from the sight of the entire world..

Another point. Israel did not withdraw entirely from Lebanon. Shib'a farms are still occupied.

  18. I was only highlighting the irony of it..The guy is accusing you of supporting someone you don't know..That's anan..

  19. TGIA, Shib'a farms is extremely tiny. The UN considers Shib'a farms part of Syria. If the UN rules otherwise, Israel would return Shib'a farms back to Lebonon.
