Recent revelations from the Israeli government reveal that the Gaza flotilla raid was an act of premeditated violence, planned weeks prior to the raid, in that it was understood in advance that it would provoke a violent counter-response. This finding, recently reported by Al Jazeera stands in marked contrast to claims from Israeli leaders at the time of the raid that the violence directed at activists was purely reactionary and in self-defense against violent attacks from the flotilla activists themselves.

    Don't understand this line of thinking. The first 5 or so elite IDF special forces commandos were captured by the passengers.

    TGIA, do you realize the degree to which the IDF has become a global laughing stock among US military personel, and the personal of other militaries around the world?

    The percieved incompetence of the IDF is devastating for Israel.

    You understand that type of thinking anan,  it is elementary,  you just ignore it.  Switching the conversation to incompetence does not negate the aggression,  and there is no incompetence,  just no conscience.

    Please don't misunderstand. I was merely explaining why the flotilla incident wasn't pre meditated in the way the above article states.

    As you know I oppose trade sanctions on Gaza.

    VAA, Israel and Egypt regulate and limit Gazan trade and investment. I think Gaza should have free trade and investment and be admitted to the WTO.
