The Return of Jeffrey Goldberg; Shilling for War on Iran

RAY McGOVERN
I guess I was naïve in thinking that The Atlantic and its American-Israeli writer Jeffrey Goldberg might shy away from arguing for yet another war — this one with Iran — while the cauldrons are still boiling in Afghanistan and Iraq. Even world-class chutzpah must have its limits, I had thought.

  1. McGovern covered this from many angles,  how what it all boils down to is a repeat of the other two disasters - Iraq and Afghanistan.  I like how he puts it in the wording of a game,  like baseball,  and the pitcher is up again for a repeat.  Good pick

  5. If Iran tries to strike in Iraq, the Iraqi Army will smash them. The real danger is that Khamanei will order Nasrallah to attack Israel, sparking a war between Israel and Hezbollah. Unfortunately, this war might expand to include Syria and Lebonon more generally.

  6. R.S. do you also support violent attacks agianst the 18 thousand UNFIL soldiers in Southern Lebonon?

You realize that all international trainers in Iraq are there at the direct invitation of the Iraq's elected fully legitimate parliament, and at the unanimous request of the UN. The Iraqi training mission is a UN authorized the requested mission.

  7. No one asked you who "smahed" who anan,  how about the hundreds of thousands of dead civilians?  Actually,  you have no idea who is the enemy of whom in Iraq,  you have amply proved that with past posts.

  8. V, thank you for mentioning the 400 thousand civilians murdered by the Lucifer channeler wanna be anti Christ Saddam.

You know that Al Qaeda and the Saddamists killed tens of thousand of Iraqi civilians in terrorist attacks against Iraqi population centers.

I'll acknowledge that there was some overreaction by some Shiite militias [backed by Iran, and even some factions in the Iraqi government.] However this only happened after years of murderous terrorist attacks against Iraqi population centers by the "resistance." The "resistance" started it.

But ultimately the Iraqi Army won and smashed the "resistance" [Baa3thists and Al Qaeda] right out of Iraq. Afterwards the Iraqi Army also smashed the extremist Shiite militias. The Iraqi Army brought peace and security to Iraq. The Iraqi Army is an example of patriotism, nationalism, nonsectarianism and professionalism.
