Kooks galore

Five women in India were dragged through their village, beaten and forced to eat excrement after a local Muslim cleric declared them 'witches'

    Experts say superstitious beliefs are behind some of these attacks, but there are occasions when people - especially widows - are targeted for their land and property.

    Like the Copts in Egypt, the Christians and Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh....only in those places they use trumped up charges of insulting Islam and the Quran instead of witchcraft
    Same old story....trying to steal something from the vulnerable and the weak.

    Not always, vza.  In Africa, many children are accused of witchcraft.  What are they trying to steal from them?

    This is very sad. India has serious challenges that only Indians can solve. This isn't a faith issue. These types of steriotypes are misused across caste and religion in some parts of India.
