Isn't it ironic to hear some say that Socialism or the socialist system doesn't work especially when we know that trillions and trillions of dollars have been spent in efforts to undermine and bring down EVERY single socialist govt. the world over? " You see! We told yah!! It doesn't work!"

This is just untrue. What money was spent to bring down the Chinese, Soviet and Indian socialist systems? How about the Irish pseudo socialist system until by mid 1980s?

It cant get any fairer than that. I mean, its not completely fair. The tall will have a better chance of being well paid pro basketball players. The smart will have a better chance of becoming well paid scientists.
Ultimately it comes down to natural selection. Ironically, many of the so-called atheists here dont adhere to its tenets when it applies in today's world. The culling of the weak from the herd is as old as the history of the planet, and is the only reason we are more than pond scum today

Thus, capitalism allows human beings to maximize their productive capacity. Thus there is more to go around with capitalism, but as with any system it doenst mean that everyobdy has all they need.
The only system to "dangle the feed the world carrot" is some form of communism/socialism. Tell me Jemmy, enjoyed the fruits of any communist or socialist inventions/advancements lately?

ReplyDeleteJemmy, do you know anybody, anybody who is naturally lazy? I do. Do you think they have the same right, to the same things, as others? That no matter how hard you work you are entilted to your "fair share"? Do you think that might discourage hard work and risk taking - just a bit?
One way to encourage hard work and risk taking is to reward it. You know as well as me that NOBODY got rich by hard work alone. Hard work is always the magic wand that the rich and privileged offer the poor and exploited. Some of the poor, having seen through the con, become what you call lazy.
ReplyDeleteNobody ever got rich by their own efforts alone. We are all part of a network. The easiest way to get rich is to rip someone else off. If a person is shrewd enough they can do it within a legal system devised to ensure that the majority remain in a position of subservience. That's capitalism; if you can live within that system without kicking against it and wanting to change it, congratulations. Personally I'd rather search for something better.
