Britain designated "the worst place to live in Europe"

What does our friend Jemmy think?

  1. I tend to agree with it, except the claim that Poland is a better place to live than Britain. Tell that to all the Polish immigrants living in my street, and on the estate (public owned housing) where I live.
As for the rest, it's undeniable. It's what I call the Thatcher legacy. The old witch destroyed our industrial base, and legislated into existence an economy that someone described as "banks and brothels". Now the banks have all gone down the pan, what's left? Welcome, Saudi sex tourists!

"British workers toil three years longer and die two years younger than their French counterparts." and all we get from our media is that the French are lazy and need to deregulate like the British. In Europe, the UK acts as America's Trojan Horse, opposing, vetoing any legislation Washington disapproves of, and that includes human rights legislation. Successive British governments have opted for thr role of America's bitch, and assigned to our armed forces the role of America's mercenaries financed by the British taxpayer.

God! I feel depressed. I think I'll go and get pissed.

  6. Yes. VAA; remember what the Brits did around the world in the 1800s and 1900s? Britain's record isn't all that.
