Iraqis have told U.S. military no patrols permitted in Baghdad

BAGHDAD — Two weeks after U.S. combat troops withdrew from Iraq's major cities, amid sporadic outbreaks of violence countrywide, Iraqi authorities aren't asking American forces for help. Although U.S. troops are "just a radio call away," in Baghdad and five other major urban areas, it appears the Iraqis haven't asked even once.

  2. No, just your ignoble inability to discern who is doing what on the ground

  3. Week before last had the lowest level of violence in Iraq on record. Iraq doesn't have an insurgency or resistance problem, it has a terrorism problem. The large majority of violent deaths in Iraq come from terrorist attacks on Iraqi population centers versus (ordinary crime + organized crime + militia violence + clashes between the Iraqi Security Forces and armed groups.)

Most of the terrorists are non Iraqi Sunni Arabs. They should go home and liberate their home countries, leaving Iraq in peace.
