ReplyDeleteThis is factually wrong TGIA. The Taliban stole land from Afghans they didn't like. Remember the millions of Afghans who fled Afghanistan? What did the Taliban do with their land?
ReplyDeleteYou must remember the many massacres of Sufi, Ismaeli and Shia that they organized. They also went after the small minorities such as Budhists, Hindus and Sikhs. They also banned girls from going to school or working.
Today, 7 million children are in Afghan schools, 33% of them girls. The girls in school are up from almost nothing in the former Taliban controled parts of Afghanistan. The number of boys in school is also up dramatically.
During Taliban rule, there use to be 1,000 to 2,000 freshman in Afghan colleges, all male. Now there are 45,000 per year; many female.
TGIA, land theft was a big problem in Pakistan and Kashmir too. Remember that many Hindus and Buddhists lived in Pakistan in 1947. What happened to their land? Land theft also took place in Afghanistan in the 1970s and 1980s and 1990s.

Ok so the Talibans are also land thieves and I can't hate them more than I already do(impossible) but my concern here is of a different nature...My problem is with this scum of the earth who spent most of their lifes in Brooklyn and Latvia and who claim that god gave them what does NOT belong to them!!!
