Solidarity in Greece

In Athens, Greece, where theoreticians of democracy originated, lawmakers in the parliament continue to ignore the hundreds of thousands of protestors in the streets--now for months--demanding an end to the austerity attacks on working people. At this protest, standing in front of the phalanx of riot cops defending autocratic rule, a young man is waving the Greek & Spanish flags in his left hand & the Italian & Portuguese flags in his right--expressing the international solidarity so critical to ending the austerity policies imposed by the European dictatorship known as the European Union.
