Is there any award more banal & cartoonish in popular culture than People magazine’s “Sexiest Man of the Year” award!? You don’t even have to build up your pecs or show an ounce of wit or intelligence; you just have to be a pretty boy. And to most minds, that’s a damn low standard for sex appeal. Apparently repeat winners Brad Pitt & George Clooney have aged out of the candidate pool--which is good since their rotten politics disqualified them in some minds a long time ago. Channing Tatum, whoever the hell he is, takes the award this year--& no offense meant but he looks like a million other white guys & not a bit prettier.
