Members of parliament in Iraq are meeting to debate the reasons behind the escalating violence in the country that has claimed more than 250 lives last week.
Saturday's meeting precedes a planned withdrawal of US troops from most Iraqi cities on June 30.

Did ou notice the timing of the invitation for further oil exploitation of the Iraqis? Just before the "pull out" it becomes the issue, how utterly predictable for the puppet regime.
ReplyDeleteTGIA, MNC-I forces have long since withdrawn from the vast majority of Iraq. The only real area where this means anything is parts of Mosul, where 1 US battalion (800 soldiers) is being pulled back.
ReplyDeleteOver the last six months, violent incidents have averaged 70-100 a week. In late 2006, there use to be 1200 to 1800 violent attacks a week. In recent weeks, violent attacks have been close to 70/week.
The number of attacks against the IA and IP remain at historic lows. The only place in Iraq where there is an organized resistance attacking the IA and IP is parts of Mosul.
The problem Iraq suffers from is a "terrorism" problem. Most of these terrorists are not Iraqis. This said, Iraqi intelligence services have improved remarkably.
