Anger is a legitimate emotion in the face of injustice. Passive acceptance of evil is not a virtue.
We are all in line
ReplyDeleteOne less pedophile. Good riddance (not you, Farah).
ReplyDeleteYes we are v....
ReplyDeleteSo many deaths in my and my husband's family over the last six years have made me realize how close death is to each and everyone of us....And how we really need to prepare ourelves for this inevitability...
You would be surprised how many "respectable" people are pedophiles. And if not pedophiles, then wife beaters. Likely even some you respect highly.
ReplyDeleteIt is probably a good idea to give credit where credit is due.
Anyone who remembers Michael as only a pedophile grew up in the wrong decade. I drove 5 hours each way to see his Thriller tour. He was an amazing performer ...
ReplyDeleteThis is bad news for the Iranian protesters if their plan was to keep the world transfixed on Iran for more than a few days. I guess when planning an uprising, it is important to take such external factors as the death of celebrities into account. In one day the Iranian protests became stale news. Now the government has a window of opportunity to crack down on the troublemakers now that the world is mourning the loss of two beloved cultural icons(Personally, I was unaware that I beloved Farrah or Michael-I thank the media for informing me.).
ReplyDeleteWhen this is all over, it will be interesting to do an analysis of the amount of coverage Jackson's death receives as compared to the Iranian uprising. Then for good measure, compare how much coverage the Israeli attack on Lebanon got.
Guest, I grew up in the 80's as well. I don't only remember that he was a pedophile. But I won't forgive him that because he was talented.
ReplyDeleteLet's be honest, even as an entertainer the bloke was creepy, presenting himself as some sort of Messiah. All hail Jarvis Cocker.
ReplyDeleteIf Jackson is singing duets now, it's not with Farrah Fawcett and it certainly isn't in heaven!
ReplyDeleteDid Farah even sing?
ReplyDeleteIn America "everyone" is a singer
