SALFIT (PIC) 28 Oct — An old Palestinian farmer in Salfit was
transferred to hospital on Sunday after inhaling poisonous gases coming
from the industrial area in nearby Burkan settlement. Local sources said
that Othman Jaber suffered from serious inflammation and vomiting,
adding that he was taken to hospital where doctors told him his lungs
were affected by the gases and were in serious condition. Jaber’s house
is near to the settlement, which is to the west of Salfit, making him
and his family the most affected along with other neighbors from the
poisonous winds
