GAZA CITY (Ma‘an) 3 Mar -- Palestinian students and rights activists in Gaza initiated a campaign for Palestinian refugees, aiming to harness the winds of change in the Middle East and mobilize the Palestinian diaspora into action. On 15 March, the group said, more than 1 million were expected to participate in a global sit-in, taking place in front of Israeli embassies worldwide. An organizer in Gaza told Ma‘an on Thursday that a preparatory committee had been established and was making contacts regionally and internationally, and a coordinated effort was underway to demand the return of some 9 million Palestinian refugees living in camps in the Middle East and in the global diaspora.
