Iraq oil development rights contracts awarded . US companies left out in the cold

A joint venture between the UK's Shell and Malaysia's Petronas oil companies has won the right to develop Iraq's giant Majnoon oil field.

A total of 44 companies took part in a bid for 10 fields in the second such auction since the invasion in 2003.

  2. I thought all that " No Blood for Oil " was just standard political opportunism from the Anti-American Left ;
    Now,it seems, Lefties may have really BELIEVED that the US invaded Iraq to " steal their Oil ". Idiotarianism is just so strange.
         It's OK for Lefties to say that secret Republican explosives brought down New York's Twin Towers, as long as they don't tell everyone about Laura, and Tiger.

  4. The purpose of the war in part was to secure the area so that there would be troops on the ground,  so that the usual global group will be beholden to the US presense.  The US sees itself as the enforcer of the global world order -

    This helps the US to keep its war machine rolling,  which is considered the biggest contribution that can be made.
