Egypt denies building 'Gaza wall'

Egypt has denied it is constructing an underground steel barrier along its strip with the Gaza border in an attempt to seal off smuggling tunnels built by Palestinians.

That, of course, is a shameful LIE!

It seems Mubarak will do anything to please his masters in Tel Aviv and Washington. He needs them to crown his playboy son and his successor. The 81 year old Mubarak has been “president” since 1981. He has won every election with a comfortable majority. He is much loved by his secret services. Prior to every election he arrests and imprisons all the opposition, ensuring a “clean” election. Torture is so widely used and accepted in Egypt that the US outsources the torturing of some its prisoners to Egypt. This alone should tell you volumes about the nature of Mubarak’s rule.

  2. is it ok if we post stuff critical of mubarak and his policies and their effect on PP and not here. i'm dealing with a parnoid father here. he thinks UNHCR is a human rights org, and therefore dangerous. he thinks AUC is full of CIA spies. it's crazy. now you know how i turned out so neurotic.

  3. My father dislikes reading articles critical of Great Britain. Do you think you could post those at PP, too?

  4. Sorry vza
You seem to underestimate the threat of persecution for being outspoken in a country like Egypt . Bloggers have been arrested and imprisoned in the past. It's not a joking matter and I take it seriously..

  6. Fiurthermore, the worry was about the father not the government and perhaps it is time to execute a few preventive measures that would hide identity?

  8. She mentioned he's paranoid. That's not a political opinion, he must be nervous and worried she gets into trouble. My understanding. I can wait until she gets out of the country .

  9. Of course it can wait, but a word to the wise. It is not always the best thing to tell fathers things that will cause them to worry! Like what blogs you are on!
