Mondoweiss: Palestinian leader abandons 2-state-solution

Citing an important statement by a former Palestinian two-stater, Sufian Abu Zaida, that all he wants now is one state, Noam Sheizaf at Promised Land says that Israel has entered the period that Olmert predicted was upon us, in a word, apartheid, and Palestinians must struggle for civil rights within that one state. Some have called for such a declaration in order to force the Israelis to disgorge the West Bank, and thereby resurrect the 2 state-solution.

  1. Now this needs to spread throughout the entire community,  and needs to be brought to the attention of the world.  Time for Zionism to shrivel up and die.

  2. How many people here favor extending Israeli citizenship and right of return to every Palestinian, and focusing on civil rights and property rights for every Israeli citizen in a united Israel + Palestine?

  4. When I suggested this in the past, most people here ridiculed me. Even you said that you didn't favor a one state solution.

If you remember, this is why I gave so much attention to property rights issues, because it and civil rights become the dominant issue in a one state solution.

  6. BTW, one state solution is the  solution LEFT not the ideal one..I would very much like 2 states where the settler entity retreats to 1967 borders and the rght of return implemented but this is unthinkable now that the scum have gangrenised the whole West Bank. They killed it..The price is going to be heavy for them in the long run..I do not see a future for them in the region. My belief..
