My Flower to Bush, the Occupier
By MUTADHAR al-ZAIDI
"We used to be a nation in which the Arab would share with the Turkman and the Kurd and the Assyrian and the Sabean and the Yazid his daily bread. And the Shiite would pray with the Sunni in one line. And the Muslim would celebrate with the Christian the birthday of Christ, may peace be upon him. And despite the fact that we shared hunger under sanctions for more than 10 years, for more than a decade."

People all over the world see him as our BROTHER, no matter our ethnicity, culture, religion, nationality, gender or anything else. He is a hero.
ReplyDeleteHe's a symbol and a hero because with his modest means, a shoe, he has made the only gesture a man of condition could do in those circumstances to signify his rejection of and his resistance to abomination personnified and symbolised by one of the ugliest characters in history, G.W Bush!
ReplyDeleteTGIA, remember that while Bush is strongly disliked by the large majority of Americans, many nonAmericans still like Bush, especially Asians.
ReplyDeleteIndia is considering giving its top national award to GW Bush:

Only two non Indians have ever gotten the award since 1947; one of which was Mandela.
In fact, one of India's fears is that Obama might be punishing India for its friendship with Bush:

(I agree completely with this article; especially that the Messiah needs to reach out to India immediately.)
Some people accuse me of being an apologist for the chosen one, the Hussein who will save us in prophetic times. However by criticizing the "ONE" for not consolidating an alliance with a great emerging global superpower--India; I prove that I am not an apologist for President Obama.
TGIA, clearly Bush is not the brightest bulb in the barn; he clearly made massive mistakes that have caused great suffering on many (including the original sin of selecting Cheney as his running mate); and he clearly proved too wimpy and cowardly to stand up for America after 9/11 (by standing up to the Saudis); but few things disturb me as much about Bush was his failure to stand up to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and the other Sunni Arab dictatorships when they sent thousands of suicide bomber mentally ill wackos to mass murder Iraqis between 2003 and 2007.
My problem with MUTADHAR al-ZAIDI isn't that he criticizes Bush but that:
1) He doesn't display greater disdane for the demonic Saddam who started a sectarian Iraqi civil war in 1991 (Iraqi Mojo would say that Saddam started the great Iraqi civil war in 1980) Saddam is the reason. Before Saddam started his evil in 1968; Iraq "used to be a nation in which the Arab would share with the Turkman and the Kurd and the Assyrian and the Sabean and the Yazid his daily bread. And the Shiite would pray with the Sunni in one line. And the Muslim would celebrate with the Christian the birthday of Christ, may peace be upon him."
2) He threw a shoe in a way that offended Iraqi sensibilities about manners. Iraqis are a very cultured society that prides itself on its manners. Many Iraqis who dislike Bush were offended that Zaidi expressed his views in a way that they thought gave a poor image to the world of Iraqi manners.
The above was by me.
ReplyDeleteThis said, Bush deserves a lot of criticism. Right before the 2003 invasion, Bush met with three Iraqis that were part of the anti Saddam Iraqi resistance. In this meeting Bush revealed that he didn't know about Shia and Sunni by saying (I am paraphrasing); there are two of them, I thought they were all muslims. Much as it pains me to say this about someone who was my own commander in chief: "what an idiot."
In late 2003, during a meeting with Indonesian muslim leaders, Bush revealed that he didn't know that so many muslims weren't happy he invaded Iraq. {Cheney and company controlled what Bush was told and by whom.} Again, as much as it pains me to say this; what a fool.
I care little for what other people think of Bush. For me he's a despicable liar and a mass murderer, period.
ReplyDeleteSome people accuse me of being an apologist for the chosen one, the Hussein who will save us in prophetic times.
ReplyDelete--------------
If it's a joke, so yes, it's very funny.
TGIA, do you have any proof that Bush ever knowingly lied? I don't think he ever did. Bush just genuinely believed many things that were not so. It was Cheney and company that persuaded him that many things that were not so; were true. I think Cheney probably lied (although I cannot remember an outright lie as I write this.)
ReplyDeleteBush didn't really want to kill anyone, other than Saddam. Bush's hatred for Saddam trancended all bounds. It wasn't business, but strictly personal. Bush was manipulated by others whose subtle agendas Bush didn't understand.
Excluding Bush's hatred for Saddam, and Bush's desire to kill Saddam and his family; is there any evidence that Bush was a "mass murderer?"
Hope Flemming reads that. He really flips out when Americans praise Obama
ReplyDeleteDid he ever throw a shoe at Saddam Hussein? or any of Hussein's lackeys who butchered for him?
ReplyDeleteNo? Then do not tell me about his concern for orphans and widows.
do you have any proof that Bush ever knowingly lied? I don't think he ever did.
ReplyDelete--------------
how about when he said "noone thought the levies would break" and then a tape was leaked in which the FEMA guy (who was subsequently fired) specifically warned him the levies could break. somehow that news was buried quickly.
that was me.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Maybe Bush was dazed when he heard "heck of job brown" telling him that; and didn't process what Brown told him. Have you seen that tape? Bush looks like he was drugged in it. He looked confused and overwhelmed. He certainly didn't have the look of someone who was following what was being said and discussed around him.
ReplyDeleteMany books have come out about Bush from people close to him. His first Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill said that Bush would often look straight ahead in Cabinet meetings as discussions swirled between the Cabinet members; often it was unclear how much the President was processing.
This is a direct quote about Bush in a cabinet meeting: ""like a blind man in a roomful of deaf people"
Its really embarrasing that we Americans had a president like this. Might it have been better if he was smarter and malevelant?
To get back to your point on the levies; Bush probably forgot that heck of a job Brown told him that. Bush forgot a lot of things he was told.
You're basically telling us that Bush was more like an idiotic chimp..
ReplyDeleteHe was.
<span>You're basically telling us that Bush was more like an idiotic chimp..
ReplyDeleteHe was, and yet, what do you do? You disculp him altogether and blame someone else!!
