As'ad Abu Khalil (among others) on Jim Lehrer's The News Hour
As reaction to President Obama's address in Cairo continues to filter in, analysts consider what the lasting effect Thursday's speech may have on U.S. policy and global attitudes.
"JIM LEHRER: Judy Woodruff has more on the president's speech.
JUDY WOODRUFF: And for that, we get four views.

It was interesting how the first 3 people on their panel gave these blah inane statements on Obama's speech, then As'ad AbuKhalil tore it up and made it impossible for them to go back to their puff piece. The moderator and the other 3 spent the rest of the piece talking about the real issues that AbuKhalil brought up. He pulled it to the left. The others then chimed in and agreed with him.
ReplyDeleteThe speaker who most defended Obama, a professor I think, sounded downright defensive in her last statement.

What a bunch of idiots! That one girl did not even know who Netanayu is.
ReplyDeleteAnn, I had the same reaction to the interviews. Interesting that the Lebanese journalist was the only other one to express real skepticism about Obama, but it's true that the Angry One forced them to put real issues on the table. And he did it without even getting too angry! The George Mason professor (the woman) was useless, said nothing of note.
