BAGHDAD – Iraq's government has recorded 87,215 of its citizens killed since 2005 in violence ranging from catastrophic bombings to execution-style slayings, according to government statistics obtained by The Associated Press that break open one of the most closely guarded secrets of the war.
Blasts kill 78 in Iraq's bloodiest day in a year
Blowing up people waiting for food aid is not resistance. It is insanity.
My husband says that on AlJazeera Arabic that there was a comment under the article praising this barbarity.

ReplyDeleteI agree.
Killing a million people and saying you are doing it for liberation, and setting up a puppet government purposefully inflaming sectarian violence in colonial form, is NOT liberation. Anyone who supports what was done by the USA has no voice in regard to the aftermath.
ReplyDeleteMojo, you are the one who says the people doing these explosions are the anti-occupation resistance. It's not. AQ does this stuff so the US stays and they can claim they are fighting the US. They don't want US forces to go.
ReplyDeleteI condemn AlQaeda's actions which have nothing to do with resistance and everything to do with dividing the people of the region to bring about their evil agenda. And I condemn U.S. and Israeli policies in the region which have nothing to do with stabilizing the region and promoting Democracy, and everything to do with managing to divide the people of the region and feed into the recruitment of groups like AlQaeda so that they can continue their so-called War on Terrorism in order to conquer the region for their evil minded self interests.
ReplyDeleteMojo, simply condemning AlQaeda actions, which just happen to be helping prolong this so-called War on Terrorism, the U.S. occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, and which you have been confusing with the rights and actions of the real resistance in the region, makes you look biased in favor of U.S. policies..
To have any real credibility amongst the people of the region, you should at the very least be equally condemning the U.S. and their ally Israel's actions in the region...
BY the way, I also condemn the random revenge killings of Sunnis by Shia extremists, and vice versa, which are helping both AlQaeda and the U.S. occupation by reactionarily feeding into the divisions the U.S. and AlQaeda have been creating on the ground ...
ReplyDeleteOne must keep in minf that the leadership of Al Qaeda is not the same as the rank and file, so the suicide bombers are not aware of who their "chiefs" take their orders from. AQ was an operative of the CIA, in fact, in some circles it is called Al-CIAduh, It is something to keep in mind.
