Palestinians Louay Odeh and Areen Sweetat had to get married in Jordan because they lived across checkpoints from one another. Their friend Tamam Abusalama explains in this piece that love under occupation is especially complicated when one’s lover has a different Hawiyyeh (ID card) from that of the other.
