Anger is a legitimate emotion in the face of injustice. Passive acceptance of evil is not a virtue.

Open the damn borders! No human being is illegal!
Is this any way to treat a fellow human being looking for work to feed his family!? This immigrant was detained just miles from here trying to cross the Rio Grande River into Texas. Hundreds of thousands of immigrants from Central American & Mexico make a long, treacherous journey to work at crummy, back-breaking, low-paying jobs so they can support spouses, children, parents & siblings back home. Most were driven from their countries by the predations of multinational agribusiness & mining corporations on the plunder.
It should be said that unless you are able to afford the services of a “coyote,” (a paid trafficker who knows the safe routes) that crossing over the Rio Grande is extremely dangerous. You cross from Mexico into dense underbrush & sugar cane fields--where dehydration & disorientation are common. There are graveyards nearby for the anonymous who didn’t make it, with only a cross to mark their passing. The stench of grief permeates the border. But for many it is the passage to hope for a better life--& they have every right to seek it.
Immigration is a human right! Tear the damn wall down! Open the borders! No human being is illegal!
