Anger is a legitimate emotion in the face of injustice. Passive acceptance of evil is not a virtue.

Somalian refugees face starvation, US bombing, & UN inaction
These children are at a refugee camp in Mogadishu, Somalia, now under aerial bombardment by US drone aircraft. The UN is issuing it’s usual pathetic warnings about emergency aid & mortality rates (among the highest in the world) & growing starvation before the next harvest. Would you be harvesting your fields with bombers flying overhead? So why doesn’t the UN demand the US stop bombing Somalia? And if food’s a problem, why isn’t the UN delivering it? The Somalian diet doesn’t have unusual ingredients that can’t be provided from elsewhere. Their menus are quite standard, unless you think rice & pasta are dietary anomalies. The UN always has an excuse for why they can't deliver food. We've heard them all: bad roads, armed rebels, corrupt regimes. Nearly two & a half million Somalians need food & their are no acceptable excuses. They also need the end of the US war. Solidarity demands building an antiwar movement to get the drones the hell out of their country. (Photo by Tony Karumba)
