Anger is a legitimate emotion in the face of injustice. Passive acceptance of evil is not a virtue.

The Doctor, the Depleted Uranium and the Dying Children
An award winning documentary film produced for German television by Freider Wagner and Valentin Thurn. The film exposes the use and impact of radioactive weapons during the current war against Iraq. The story is told by citizens of many nations. It opens with comments by two British veterans, Kenny Duncan and Jenny Moore, describing their exposure to radioactive, so-called depleted uranium (DU), weapons and the congenital abnormalities of their children. Dr. Siegwart-Horst Gunther, a former colleague of Albert Schweitzer, and Tedd Weyman of the Uranium Medical Research Center (UMRC) traveled to Iraq, from Germany and Canada respectively, to assess uranium contamination in Iraq.
This piece was from 2003 and is partly inaccurate.
ReplyDeleteMany countries around the world use depleted uranium as armor for their armored vehicles and tanks. Many Arab countries do this as well. When DU armor is penetrated, there can be radiation for a few feet around the armor, but I haven't seen clear evidence it extends beyond that.
Even the term "DU" is misleading since true "DU" isn't radioactive. Rather, some of what is called "DU" isn't completely depleted uranium.
Perhaps what is needed is more "Depleted Uranium" or regulation to force DU to be more fully depleted of radiation before being used as armor for vehicles or as shells.
Did you watch the video, anan? Of course not! btw, it's 6 parts series.
ReplyDeleteSo who's reponsible? How come you didn't blame alqaida alqaida alqaida for it this time? Are you ok?
I don't know why? There needs to be a lot more investigation.
ReplyDeleteWe need to find out where the radioactivity and environmental degredation is coming from.
BTW, to my knowledge Al Qaeda/Takfiri didn't use nuclear dirty bombs in Iraq. They used Weapons of Mass Destruction. But they were chemical weapons. Many of the victims were Sunni Arab Iraqi civilians in Al Anbar.
There is no security threat for 7 billion of us humans as large as the Takfiri extremists. I would challenge anyone to prove otherwise.
ReplyDeleteHowever there are larger non security threats that we need to focus on such as values, global warming, technological innovation, global poverty etc.
Did you watch the 6 parts series? You didn't, but you feel confident enough to dismiss its research. And you object me calling you stupid? What else should I call you? What should I name a dude who is without manners who refuses to read smething but feels authorised to comment on it?
ReplyDeleteThere is no security threat for 7 billion of us humans as large as the Takfiri extremists. I would challenge anyone to prove otherwise.

How does this adress the issue, you IDIOT? Just because the takfiris are a bigger threat we should not care about depleted uranium?!!!! I revise my judgment, you're not an idiot, you have the brains of a coconut!!!

ReplyDeleteHave you ever heard of the burden of proof? It's on the person who makes the claim! I didn't make any claims so I don't have to prove anything! You can't possibly be so clueless, can you?
