    What can we do, over here half a world away? 

    I guess one thing would be to participate in solidarity marches.  Then, e-mail, call or write our elected "leaders" (for me, Obama and my congresspeople) and voice our support for the courageous anti Mubarak protesters.  Also, please let us know if you come across organizations taking donations that will get resources directly into the hands of people in the streets of Cairo.

    Ann if you're on Facebook, there are many solidarity groups availabe for joining and supporting. This is now how the word is spreading much faster than via any other media.
