Russia: We will provide Syria with advanced missiles, despite Israel, U.S. protests

After the monkey business it pulled in Georgia, Israel now has the gall to ask a favour of the Russians. In any event, it's known that the news that we are now reading about what will be happening in the future, such as with the delivery of these missiles, the news has already happened and we're being fed the information piecemeal. A few months back, Hizbullah promised Israel that if it ever tried anything funny on Lebanon's shores like it did with the shelling of Beirut in 2006, Israeli bound or departing ships would be targetted by missiles somewhere out there in the Med. We know that Hizbullah does not lie and we know that this threat was not based on using Katyushas so we can conclude that what Israel fears has already happened. In 2006 Hizbullah's surface-to-sea missile missed hitting the Israeli state-of-the-art corvette Hanit's critical structural weak point by only 3 or 4 meters that would have sunk it. It succeeded only in crippling it 10 miles out and it had to be towed into Haifa.
Those missiles being discussed here were promised to Syria in 2006 for rights to build a giant naval base at Latakia, Syria which would be Russia's one and only on the Med and it's not about to lose that right just to be nice to Israel.
