I had already introduced one work by Kanevsky here a while ago..Time to revisit..This nude is simply staggering..Very simple in design, extremely well modulated even if it looks spontaneously executed. It was not. The stark light skin tones versus the dark background is most effective ..As for what it says, I never bother thinking of it and I doubt Alex himself bothered either..Not many artists spend too much time thinking of what they're about to say, they just paint..It's almost always an after thought..or so I believe..
