Interview with Al Jazeera's Jamal ElShayyal: One of the passengers on the Mavi Marmara

Al Jazeera's Jamal Elshayyal has been released by Israeli authorities following Monday's deadly raid on the Mavi Marmara aid ship that was destined for Gaza.

Our producer, who reported from the ship as Israel launched the raid, was on the top deck when the ship was attacked.

Here, he tells his account of what happened.

  1. This , and other emerging testimonies from released [terrorists] only confirm the original account of the barbaric assault on the flotilla . Israel's version of events is as usual lacks any persuasive substance , the fact that commandos were used in preference to other less violent means shows their contempt . Here is what the dictionary define commandos :
    • a group forming part of a larger organization, typically an illegal or secret one, and carrying out attacks on its behalf.
