Glenn did and excellent job exposing what agitates and causes greater grief and violence - the US policies.  In fact,  Glenn did not say it (but I believe he might be thinking this),  that the USA does this on purpose to get its war machine on.  The fact of the matter is that the USA has so painted itself in a fiscal box relying on defense that it is addicted and will follow the destructive force of any addiction.  The words of Charlmers Johnson came to mind while Glenn exposed this destructive policy in five countries in the ME (actually quite a few more worldwide, they are just not on the radar) -
